While it may be pricier than some local options, guests quickly discover that the generous portion sizes make it perfect for sharing, allowing for a communal experience reminiscent of Italian dining traditions.
One standout on the menu is the Pizza Salsiccia & Funghi, featuring decadent Fior di latte mozzarella, savory pork sausage, and flavorful cremini mushrooms for US$30.00. Alternatively, the Pizza Capricciosa, topped with San Marzano DOP tomato sauce, black olives, cremini mushrooms, and prosciutto cotto for US$25.00, showcases the essence of Italian flavors in every bite. Not to mention the delightful Schiacciata Pizza, a flatbread masterpiece infused with lardo di colonnata, sea salt, and rosemary available for US$20.00.
The menu also offers delightful appetizers like the Carciofini & Avocado, a crispy artichoke dish adorned with avocado, toasted pistachios, and dressed with shaved Parmigiano Reggiano for US$25.00. This dish is a vibrant celebration of textures and flavors, perfect for starting your meal on a high note.
For those looking to explore traditional Italian cured meats, the Salumi Chef's Cut selections are a must-try, each offered at US$10.00. Whether it's prosciutto cotto, mortadella con pistacchio, or soppressata, these meats radiate authenticity and highlight the chef's craftsmanship.
While the dishes shine brightly, service experiences can vary. This is a great restaurant to entertain important guests visiting New York. It is an excellent place to meet the standards of those who have been to high-end restaurants in Europe or overseas, as well as gourmet enthusiasts. I was happy to leave a good impression on the guests with the luxurious atmosphere and taste. Although it was a bit pricier than nearby restaurants, the portion size was much larger than a single serving, making it ideal for sharing. You can enjoy authentic Italian cuisine reminiscent of what you tasted in Italy.

I give five stars because I had a good time but seems like a bad dynamic in the dining room. Staff arguing with each other loudly in the back. I was the only one dining in the restaurant and in the middle of my experience my server disappeared. But once I did find someone I got more wine and I had a fried burrata special menu addition and it was great. I probably will come back as I work in the neighborhood and they have a 10/glass happy hour wines which is great.

Very good and authentic Italian restaurant. The ambience is very beautiful and big. Had lentils spread, branzino, pacchetti with tuna, spinach and tiramisu. Everything was delicious! We will definitely come back here!

Arrived at 4:45 on a Friday, we were the only customers so the service reflected, we felt like royalty with the treatment. The bread and drinks to start was fantastic. We had a few spritz and they make them really well. The pasta is delicious and flavorful, obviously made in house. I had the best pesto pasta with pistachios. It was really good pricing for being in NYC. My friends loved their ravioli and lentil soup. We will for sure return here.

We ordered the Sea Bass, pasta, fingerling potatoes, the gem salad, and the artichoke & avocado appetizer. Very tasty—everything! The service was efficient, attentive, impeccable. The only negative was that tge tables were small and it was so loud we couldn’t have a conversation. Would return again for good Italian food.

I have a delightful experience at this genuine Italian restaurant near 28th St. The blend of a clean, modern vibe with elements of the original building structure really enhanced the decor. The cozy bar near the waiting area at an extra touch to the overall experience. They have a small wine cellar with many selections. You can tell that every dish from the appetizer to the main course is made fresh in the open kitchen. My favorite was the calamari, which had a perfect fresh crunch (runner up was the meatballs). To finish of the meal, the sorbet and the cannoli was the perfect touch. The service was excellent from the beginning to the end. Overall great family dinner at the Ulivo.

Delicious Italian! Everything that I’ve ordered here is on point, I enjoyed every single bite from the complimentary Italian bread, appetizers, salad, main course, dessert and drink. Definitely recommend this place for whoever is looking for the original Italian cuisine and you will be amazed!! Thumbs up.

We love Ulivo and it’s unpretentious and welcoming atmosphere. Their pasta is freshly made daily and all their dishes taste delicious. If you like a superb cocktail then you’re at the right place, their barman is absolutely the best!
